Fvmeless and Seni's "Cruise Wit U" starts out with relaxing mid tempo beats before we are hit with smooth vocals reminding us of how frosty our world has become.
We need this reminder because we find it too easy to become acclimated to the adjustment in attitudes which lead us away from the world we once knew where a warm heart and closeness was valued above our own personal safety.
I love what Seni says about battling. Life is always made easier by having loved ones near us and made all the more poorer for the lack of someone to accompany us on the journey through life.
Even if we don’t have people around us to help us on our travels between the cradle and the grave, we can always turn to God for friendship and the necessary tools required to make it to a better place beyond this universe.
I love how he encourages us implicitly to seize the day by expressing how he doesn’t want to let moments pass by.
Too often we waste our time and do not realize how precious it is to us. Any of us could be hit by a bus at any moment so we should value each second we share with every human who is a part of our world.
The juxtaposition of the cut from an attractive shorty quickly cutting to an extreme close up of J Crum’s face is an amusing visual.
It brings me joy 33 seconds into the video to see my buddy GTDyne Musiq make an appearance with his dynamic presence lighting up the screen.
When Seni speaks of being with someone preventing him from losing it, makes me wonder who he is addressing.
The ambiguity of whether he speaks of a woman or our Lord and savior works brilliantly. It helps the song connect with people on multiple levels simultaneously.
It can be a challenge to see people wearing masks.
It’s becoming more normalized in our world.
I’m glad to see some people who are still dressed in our previous conception of stylistic normality.
Seni hits us with some intriguing rhymes speaking of something not being for sale or retail.
He alludes to prophecy which is excellent since it brings the focus onto our creator and savior.
Too often, we can make a cheap thing of love and not see enough worth in it. It’s refreshing to see a healthy respect of relationships.
The worldly way of expressing what I think he might be saying would be to say it’s written in the stars or it’s in the cards.
As Christians we know our future is in the hands of our maker not the universe itself which itself is dependent upon the machinations of His mind for its existence.
I love how he talks of how sin brought a curse into the world without feeling the need to mention it by name.
I dig the reference to seashells. I live by the beach. So, it’s like he's spitting about my luscious life.
I appreciate the mention of Michelle Obama when he's talking about a first lady.
This is good both to encourage African Americans of the potential they can achieve, as well as encourage brothers to honor a woman and put them above everything else in life bar God.
I’m a fan of the visual trickery which enables me to see both G and an inverted reflected version of him at the same time.
I can connect to what Seni says about someone helping him to feel like himself.
It’s like he jumped inside my head and read its contents out loud. This is exactly how I’ve been feeling about a certain lady who motivated me to stop pretending to be someone I'm not and just love the way God made me to.
My dad bought my mom Chanel so it definitely gives me the illusion he's peeping in through the window of my life.
Obviously he knows how to treat a woman right.
I'm not saying material things are the way to a woman's heart but it's good to let your special lady know you care about her and the fact that he's prepared to pay top dollar shows that he cherishes her more than he does a fat bank balance.
Chucking golf clubs in the air is a simple concept but also a brilliant one. I bet any money nobody thought of doing it before.
Even if they did, it's still an on point move.
The dancing seems free and natural even if it was choreographed.
I dig how Fvmeless does the robot.
This is a priceless piece of art the world needs to see yesterday 😊
The only way I can see this song being strengthened would be if they made a remix featuring the stupendous rhyming of GTDyne Musiq.
Traditionally, I prefer rap videos that attack my mind with rhymes from the jump but I dig the cruisy feel of the beats and the thinking space provided between the bars.
It has a summery feel to it.
I can imagine someone kicking back with a ginger beer and a lovely lady and finding their bad mood improving through this song or their good one being maintained due to its uplifting essence.
The sparseness of voices on the chorus works for me.
I love this song because it reminds me to see merit in the simple things instead of those that require more payola to be experienced.
I get a spacey mentality when I observe Fvmeless’s multiplication of heads positioned at polar opposite ends.
You can never see enough clips where people are laughing in a way that’s not at the expense of others but due to the sheer joy of being alive.
This clip instils gratitude in me for each breath that passes in and out my lips.
It’s the perfect equipment for a skulls trip to audio visual paradise <3
